Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy, "the Beast," is one of the smartest comic characters there is. He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for X-Men #1 in 1963 and is a founding member of the X-Men.

In 1991, Marvel revised the entire lineup of X-Men comic book titles with writer Chris Claremont and relaunched the series. Beast, and all of the art here, is drawn here by the great Jim Lee for 1991's X-Men #1.
